Dominick S. Ziparo, 81, of Baldwinsville died Sunday, October 2, 2005 at Rosewood Heights Health Center, Syracuse. He was born in Syracuse and was an Army Air Force Veteran of WWII, 15th Air Force Division, where he was a radio operator and waist gunner on a B-24 Aircraft. He spent 9 months in ETO and had 27 missions and 260 hours of combat fighting. He retired in 1985 from Associated Transport & Pilot Freight Carriers. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Baldwinsville where he was a member of the Senior Choir from 1967 to 2001. Survivors: his wife of 60 years, Geraldine “Jeri” Mosher Ziparo; a daughter, Terri A. Mewhorter of Clifton Park, NY; three sons, Daniel J. of Jacksonville, FL, Michael C. of Syracuse and David A. of Baldwinsville; a brother, Daniel D. of Syracuse; 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services: 9:30am Thursday, October 6, 2005 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville and 10:00am at St. Mary’s Church, Baldwinsville. Burial, Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 4-7pm Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at the funeral home, 93 Downer St.
