Marie K. Holtman, 78, of Baldwinsville, completed a full, rich life on Saturday, May 21, 2005, following a lengthy illness. Born on May 3, 1927 in Schenectady, NY, she was the daughter of the late John Krause and Helen D’Avignon. Raised in Schenectady and in Clayburg, Clinton County, NY, she was a 1945 graduate of of Mont Pleasant High School in Schenectady. She married the late Bernard Holtman at St. John the Evangelist Church there on November 26, 1953 and they shared a life of humor and happiness until his death in January 1988. A resident of Baldwinsville since 1957, she was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church and a volunteer for FISH and Meals On Wheels. She was a talented watercolor and pastel artist, and a passionate gourmet cook. Most importantly, Marie was a devoted wife, extraordinary mother, and a gentle soul. Survivors: Four sons and three daughters: Tim (DeAnna) of Baldwinsville, Jonathan and David, both of Syracuse and Patrick (Claudine) of Baldwinsville, Lisa Sacco (Jay) of Fayetteville, NY, Bridget de la Garza (Jose) and Noelle Phillips (Paul) both of San Diego, CA; 10 grandchildren, Chelsea and Torre Holtman, Brigitte and Davi Sacco, Patrick, Avignon and Armand de la Garza, Nathan and Chloe Phillips, and Reilly Holtman; sister-in-law, Linda Krause and niece Roberta Krause both of Clifton Park. Her brother, Robert Krause, predeceased her in 1998. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00am Saturday, May 28, 2005, at St. Mary's Church Baldwinsville. Burial in Riverview Cemetery. Calling hours are 5-8pm Friday, May 27, 2005 at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St. Baldwinsville. Contributions: In lieu of flowers to Friends of Beaver Lake Nature Center, Baldwinsville, NY.
