Mary “Betty” Breeze Kerwood, 85, of Baldwinsville died peacefully Saturday, April 16, 2005 at her home. She was born in Syracuse and lived in Baldwinsville since 1950. Betty dedicated her life to the care of her beloved husband, children, grandchildren and friends. When recently asked about her philosophy of life, she responded by saying “Love and be Loved”. She truly lived that philosophy. She loved helping others, including volunteer work for Meals on Wheels, Syracuse Home and St. Mary’s Church, where she was a communicant. Mary wants to thank her medical providers, especially Dr. Scalzo and his staff and the staff at Madison Irving Surgery Center, for the compassionate care they provided to her. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Maureen Hayes. Survivors: her husband of 58 years, William R. Kerwood; three daughters, Mary I. (Larry) Kerwood of Auburn, Karen A. (Dale) Parsons and Deborah J. Kerwood both of Baldwinsville; two sons, Mark W. (Sandra) of Buffalo and Kevin J. (Ildiko) of Deltona, FL; six grandchildren, Mary (Brian) Bonikowski, Matthew and Michelle Harshbarger, Andrew and Ashlee Milton, and Joshua Kerwood, great-grandchildren, Brett and Lauren. Services: 9:30am Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville and 10:00am at St. Mary's Church. Burial in Riverview Cemetery. Calling hours are 2-4 & 7-9pm Monday, April 18, 2005 at the funeral home, 93 Downer Street. Contributions: In lieu of flowers to Meals On Wheels, 76 Canton Street, Baldwinsville, NY 13027 or St. Mary´s Anniversary Fund, 47 Syracuse Street, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
