Edward W. LaMott, 88, of Syracuse died Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at Crouse Hospital. He was born in Syracuse and lived in the area all his life. Edward retired as Superintendent of the Main Post Office in Syracuse after 35 years of service. He was a Navy veteran of WW II and a member of the American Legion Post#1276 and the retired Postal Employees Association. Survivors: his wife of 64 years, the former Louise Luke; six sons, Edward W., Jr. of E. Syracuse, Michael J. of Orlando and Gerard M. of Winter Springs, FL, Joel F. of Marcellus, Theodore T. of Miami, FL George E. of Syracuse; a sister, Helen Brennan of Dewitt; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services: 9:15am Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville and 10:00am at St. Augustine’s Church. Burial in Riverview Cemetery. Calling hours are 4-7pm Friday, April 8, 2005 at the funeral home, 93 Downer St. Contributions: St. Augustine’s Church, 7333 O’Brien Rd., Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
