Marie Louise Jenks VanBuren, 79, departed this life on Saturday, January 31, 2004 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born October 8, 1924 to Grace and Peter Smith Jenks, she grew up in Hartwick, NY. She married Charles C. VanBuren May 18, 1947 and moved to Baldwinsville where they resided and raised four children. Charles passed away March 4, 1999. A son, Gerard VanBuren died in infancy. She is survived by her children: daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann and Norman Bertollini, Baldwinsville; son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Michele VanBuren, Meridian; daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and John Heins, Baldwinsville; daughter and son-in-law Laurie and Jim Lippke, Baldwinsville; her beloved grandchildren: Shannon and Eric Grant, Brandon and Jennifer Bertollini, Geoffrey Bertollini, Glendon Bertollini, Kelly and Jeff Gillespie, Ricky Pierson, Jason and Christine VanBuren, Jeff and Erin VanBuren, Earl John and Melissa Reome, Michele and Donald Bradley, Samantha Reome, Sheena Reome, Rachel Heins, Chelsea Heins, Grace Heins, Nathan Moat, Thomas Lippke; her great-grandchildren, Auriel, Austin, Courtney, Megan, Alexander and Jessica. She is also survivied by three sisters, Irene Brown, Lucille Gilchrist and Nina Powers; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Marie was a member of the family of Hillview Community Baptist Church. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Marie worked at R.M. Lamb’s, Syracuse China, McMahon & Smith Real Estate and was justice clerk for the Town of VanBuren. Services: A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2004, at 12:30pm at Hillview Community Baptist Church O’Brien Road, Baldwinsville. There will be no calling hours.
