Stephen Smith Davison, 55, of Moravia NY, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2003 peacefully after a long battle with cancer. He was born June 15, 1948 in Watertown, NY. He served his country proudly for three years in the US Navy as a gunners mate, and received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Expert Pistol Shot Medal. He worked as a forester for NY State Department of Environmental Conservation in Cortland, NY since September 1979, and enjoyed hunting fishing and camping.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Georgia (Gates) Davison, a daughter Laura and son-in-law Marine Corporal Christopher Lewis of Hawaii, a son Adam Davison of Syracuse, his parents Robert and Doris Davison of Watertown, a brother and sister-in-law Robert and Angela Davison of Camillus, a sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Stephen Johnson of Dewitt, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and an extended family of longtime co-workers and friends.
Services will be private.
