Roland L. Lavoie, 86, of Baldwinsville died Sunday, May 18, 2003 at his home. He was born in Cornwall, Ontario and has lived in Baldwinsville most of his life. He was a WWII Veteran and a Pearl Harbor survivor. He was a member of the 108th AC&W National Guard for 28 years where he saw active duty during the Korean Conflict and the Berlin Recall. He retired from General Electric and the Airforce in 1977. He also retired after 20 years from Ironwood Golf Course, Baldwinsville. He was a member of the Baldwinsville VFW Post 153 and the Baldwinsville American Legion Vernice Suttle Post 113.
Survivors: His wife of 56 years, Betty Kalar Lavoie; two sons, Louis "Fred" Lavoie of Baldwinsville and Joseph T. DaBoll-Lavoie of Canandaigua; one brother, Oscar P. Lavoie of Baldwinsville; 3 grandchildren, Rachel, Bradley & Abigail.
Services: Will be 10:00am Wednesday, May 21, 2003 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 4-7pm Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at the funeral home, 93 Downer Street.
