Thomas H. Cottrell, 58, of Plainville Road, Plainville, died Friday, January 10, 2003. Born in Gowanda, he lived in Liverpool most of his life before moving to Plainville in 1991. He graduated from State University College at Fredonia. He retired as owner and operator of Hiram's Tire & Service Center in Liverpool after several years, had taught science at Liverpool Middle School for four years and was a certified hot-air balloon pilot. His mother, N. Helen Cottrell, passed away in 1998, and his brother, James E. Cottrell passed away in 1994. Survivors: His wife of 11 years, the former Connie M. Forbes; a daughter, Kimberly C. DePerno of East Aurora; a son, Todd T. of Camillus; two stepsons, Robert S. Hunsinger of Auburn and Andrew M. Hunsinger of Baldwinsville; his father and stepmother, Edward D. and Lois Cottrell of Dunedin, Fla.; a brother, Edward J. of Rutherfordton, N.C.; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, January 16, 2003 in First United Methodist Church, Baldwinsville. Spring burial, Plainville Cemetery. Calling hours, 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2003 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. Contributions: Camp Good Days and Special Times, 1322 Pittsford-Mendon Road, Mendon 14506.
