Obituary of Martha S. Slattery

Martha E. Sullivan Slattery, 83, of Baldwinsville, died Saturday, November 23, 2002, at Stonehedge Health & Rehabilitation Center in Chittenango. She was a life resident of Baldwinsville. She graduated from the College of New Rochelle and received a master's degree from Syracuse University. She was a librarian in the Syracuse City School District for more than 30 years, working at North High School and Henninger High School. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Baldwinsville. She was a member and past president of the Baldwinsville Public Library board of trustees and was active in the effort to build the new library. Survivors: Her husband of 41 years, John J.; three nieces, Norah S. Hooper of Goldvein, Va., Kathleen S. Connolly of Hanover, Mass., and Mary Patricia S. Pollock of Chittenango; a nephew, Richard L. Sullivan of Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2002, at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville and 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Baldwinsville.
