Obituary of Robert J. Longwell

Robert J. Longwell, 79, of Fairway Circle, Van Buren, died Friday, November 22, 2002. Born in Canandaigua, he lived many years in the Syracuse area. He graduated from Syracuse University. He retired in 1983 after more than 10 years as financial vice president and treasurer of Morris Pumps in Baldwinsville. He was a former member of the Financial Executives Institute. He was a member of the National Association of Accountants, Baldwinsville First Presbyterian Church and the Society of Mayflower Descendants in Connecticut. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Survivors: His wife of 52 years, the former Barbara J. Powers; three daughters, Lucinda R. Accordino of Cazenovia, Karen Longwell Smith of Cortlandt Manor and Diane Longwell of Baldwinsville; a son, Jonathan R. of Clay; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2002, at the First Presbyterian Church, Baldwinsville. Burial, Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse.
