Obituary of Helen B. Long

Helen Beers Long, 91, of Village Boulevard North, Van Buren, died Friday, October 11, 2002. Born in Cortland, she lived most of her life in the Syracuse area. She was a 1930 graduate of Cathedral High School. She was a member of the Syracuse Knights of Columbus Council 191 Auxiliary, a former member of St. Anthony's Altar & Rosary Society and a communicant of St. Augustine's Church. Survivors: Her husband of 64 years, Lawrence E.; two sons, John E. and David M., both of Syracuse; a sister, Mary Long, of Syracuse; one sister-in-law, Margaret Long of Syracuse; one brother-in-law, Richard F. Long of Auburn; three grandsons; two great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. Services: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville and 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine's Church, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 4-7 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2002 at the funeral home, 93 Downer Street. Burial at St. Mary's Cemtery, Dewitt.
