Frank E. Phelps Jr., 60, of Lincolnton, N.C., died Friday. Born in Lysander, he lived in Phoenix most of his life before moving away in 1995. He attended Phoenix High School. He had owned and operated Phelps Arco on Milton Avenue and Frank Phelps Used Cars on Route 48 in Lysander. He worked in the service department of Earl Tindol Ford in Gastonia, N.C.
Survivors: His wife of 39 years, the former Anne S. Warner; a daughter, Brenda Phelps of North Carolina; a son, Frank E. III of North Carolina; two sisters, Patricia Bartlett and Sandra Rossetti, both of Phoenix; two brothers, Ted of Baldwinsville and Terry of Fulton.
Services: Private. No calling hours. Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville, has arrangements.
Contributions: Hospice of Gaston County, 717 N. New Hope Road, Gastonia, NC 28054.
