Obituary of Otis E. Sennett

Otis E. Sennett, 87, of Baldwinsville passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015, surrounded by his family. He was born in Baldwinsville and lived there most of his life. Ote received his B.S. and M.S degrees at Cortland College. He was inducted into SUNY Cortland C-Club Hall of Fame in 1986. He was also inducted into the NYSPHSAA Hall of Fame in 2007. He taught in the Baldwinsville Central School district from 1949 – 1983 and was Director of Physical Education from 1954-83. He was a former secretary and former director of Section III of the NYSPHSAAA. He received several state and national awards for his administrative achievements. Ote was predeceased by two brothers, John Sennett and Brother Dennis (James). Survivors: his daughters, Mary Coogan of Baldwinsville and Helen Arthur of Liverpool; his sons, Timothy of Baldwinsville, Brian of E. Syracuse and John of Nashua, NH; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30am Wednesday, May 27, 2015, in St. Mary’s Church, 47 Syracuse St., Baldwinsville. Burial at a later date in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
