John “Jack” B. Kelly, 88, of Cicero, passed away Thursday at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Syracuse, he was the son of Jasper and Catherine Kelly. John grew up in Manlius and graduated from Manlius High School & Central City Business Institute. He was a World War II Veteran serving in the United States Army. He was member of the Cicero American Legion Post #787. He past member/officer of both the Mattydale & Cicero Fire Departments. John worked for Chase Lincoln Bank for over 40 years serving in various positions. John enjoyed playing cards, stamp collecting, jig-saw puzzles and fishing . He was an avid NY Yankees and Syracuse University fan. John was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Kelly, his son, Bryan Kelly, his Brother, William Kelly and his parents. He is Survived by Four Daughters: Diane (Kevin) Irwin, Karen (Paul) Gonzales, Dawn (Paul) Zemotel, Jan (Glenn) Bontly; Step-Daughters: Sharon Franza (Bill Southard), Melody LaFleur (Richard Nellis); Daughter-In-Law: Lidge Kelly; Sister: Patricia (William) Combs; Grandchildren; Great Grandchildren; Nieces and Nephews. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 16, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer Street, Baldwinville. Spring Burial in North Syracuse Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions in John’s name can be made to Make-A-Wish Of CNY or the CNY SPCA . The family would like to give special thanks to Dr Louis Bonavita, Jr., for his excellent care, love and support in caring for John.
