Scott Alan Herbs, 46, from Fulton passed away suddenly Wednesday, February 04, 2015. He was born June 7, 1968 to his wonderful parents Frederick and Judith (Kingsbury) Herbs of Baldwinsville. Scott was born in Syracuse and raised in the village of Baldwinsville. He was a graduate of Baker High School 1986 in Baldwinsville. He was currently employed by McLane Trucking Northeast for 2 years. He had obtained his CDL from NTTS, and graduated at the top of his program, discovering a love for driving and traveling. He previously worked for P+C Foods in Baldwinsville for 24 years, then continued on with TOPS Friendly's Markets for 3 years. Scott had studied and instructed karate at CNY Karate for several years. He was an accomplished 4th degree black belt. Scott was an avid gardener, he especially loved to grow his own pumpkins and would enter his one of a kind designs to the Beaver Lake Halloween carving contest where he placed 1st several times in the past years, and was considered to be a master carver. He loved watching and waiting for his first signs of spring, excited to see the hummingbirds that eagerly showed up to his well stocked feeders. Scott enjoyed the simpler things in life, such as ice skating, kite flying, boating, water skiing, fireworks and spending time at his family's camp in Sandy Pond. He was a big Disney fan and took many trips to Disney World with his family, he loved the movies, the songs and the entire Disney Theme Parks. His wish was to retire to Florida and drive the Trams in the Parks, even if it meant the removal of his beloved mustache and beard. Scott's enthusiasm and zest for life extended to his children and his loving wife. He was a wonderful father, the best of husbands, a great son, and a beloved brother and uncle. Scott is survived by his wife of 23 years Kimberly(Bell) Herbs; daughter Alicia(Tyler Morris); three sons Nicholas, Ryan and Sean Herbs; sisters Kathryn(Charles) Walker and Susan(Christopher) Binsley; his brother Rick(Karen) Herbs; his several nieces and nephews; his beloved dogs Georgia and Buddy; and his kittens Sunny and Molly. Services will be held Monday, February 9th from 4 to 7 pm at Falardeau Funeral Home,93 Downer Street, Baldwinsville. A memorial service will be held at the end of services at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CNY SPCA, 5878 E. Molloy Road, Syracuse, NY 13211 in Scott's memory.
