Our deepest sympathies go to the Burke family. We have been parishoners at St.Augustine's for many years. Several years ago, Jack gave me 2 tapes of Father McLaughlin's sermons. We both were strong admirers of Father and I will always treasure the tapes. Jack was of great assistance to me when I was the chairman of the Scholarship Committee; he was so organized! I was also one of the fellows who sat in the back with Jack at the 8 AM Mass. He was a deeply spiritual man who will be sorely missed

Ruth and Family,
The news of Jim's death saddens me so. I think you might remember me as being his secretary at Crouse-Hinds. I grew to realize how special a man he was and how much he loved you all. So kind, so big next to me, and the day I went to work, only to find out he won the lottery! What a day that was.... It was an honor to work with him, he has a place in heaven now. My sympathy for your loss.

My condolences to Jack's family, friends and to those he helped and shared with in the Genealogy Community!
I first met Jack at an Irish Genealogy Class at LeMoyne College about 14 or 15 years ago. Ever since, I have been referring his expertise to many I have encountered through my Genealogy hobby! His presence every week at the Family History Center made it convenient to stop in, or send people to seek his wisdom & experiences navigating the Irish Records.
Jack will be missed by many throughout the world!
