Obituary of Gayle S. Rhoades

Gayle Strobel (Gallo) Rhoades, 77, of Baldwinsville passed away Saturday, November 22nd 2014 at Upstate University Hospital Community Campus. Born in Boonville, NY to the late Arvilla Cyr and George Strobel, Gayle was a life resident of CNY and enjoyed a long career in the restaurant business. Before retiring from Tassone’s Wine Garden, Baldwinsville, she worked more than twenty years at The Beeches, Rome NY and the Fireside Inn, Baldwinsville. In the early ‘70s, she and former husband Frank Gallo, Sr. owned and operated Casa di Gallo restaurant, Brewerton, NY. Gayle loved her rose garden, winter vacations at Siesta Key, league bowling and was a member of Ironwood Golf Course. She was predeceased by her brother, George Strobel, Jr. Surviving is her loving husband of 22 years, Robert L. “Bob” Rhoades; daughters, Valerie Gallo of Winter Garden, Florida, Roseanne Gallo, Liverpool and like-a-daughter, Becky Sullivan, Oswego; two sons, Vincent Gallo and Brett (Michele) Rhoades of Oswego; grandchildren, Eric Vaverchak, Ashley Rhoades, Seth Randall and Madison and Brett Rhoades; sister, Andrea Bounds, Ocean City, Maryland; sister-in-law Janet Strobel Bishop, Virginia Beach, Virginia; brothers Brad (Eileen) Iseneker, Ormond Beach, Florida, Greg (Colleen) Iseneker, Boonville and beloved brother and sister-in-law, Richard “Dick” and Virginia Rhoades of Kirkville, along with one great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Services: 9:30 AM Saturday November 29, 2104 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville with burial at Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 4069 Howlett Hill Road, Syracuse.
