Obituary of Robert P. Bowers

Robert P. “Bucky” Bowers, Sr., 91, of Baldwinsville passed away Monday, November 17, 2014, at Syracuse Home At McHarrie Place. He was a native and life resident of Baldwinsville. Bucky was a 1941 graduate of Baldwinsville Academy. He was a US Army veteran of WWII. He was employed for 30 years with Allied Chemical Company. Following his retirement he drove school buses for the Baldwinsville School District and was also employed with TriState Auto Auction. Bucky was a member, former trustee and volunteer of the Baldwinsville First Baptist Church. He was a life member and past assistant chief of the Baldwinsville Volunteer Fire Department. He was predeceased by his wife Flossie and his sisters, Clara Mae Laughlan and Janet Edison. Survivors: his daughter, Cheryl L. (Tony) DiGregorio and his son, Robert P. (Sandy) Bowers, Jr.; six grandchildren; eleven great –grandchildren; his sister, Carolyn Long; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are 7:00pm – 9:00pm Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. Private services will be Thursday with burial to follow in Riverview Cemetery. Contributions: to the Baldwinsville Fire Dept. or a charity of choice.
