Joan Lacey LeClair, 84, of Baldwinsville, was called to her Lord on November 5, 2014. Joan was born July 31, 1930, in Oswego, a daughter of Harold A. and Catherine (Whalen) Lacey. She is predeceased by her sister, Louise (Herbert) Cooper of Oswego. She is survived by her sister Jeannette (William) Hogan of Oswego; sons, Timothy L. LeClair, with his wife RheaAnna of Carlsbad, CA, Lawrence LeClair, with his wife Susan, of Elmira, NY and Paul T. LeClair, with his wife Susan of Durham, NC; grandchildren, Michael, Leah and Eric LeClair, and Kristie, Jill and Pam Armijo and several nieces and nephews. After graduating from Oswego High School, Joan attended a nunnery in Albany before deciding to marry and raise a family. While doing so, she continued her education in Sociology at Syracuse University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in 1980 and a Master’s Degree in 1986. Joan was involved with her community as a volunteer in both Waterville and Baldwinsville, and especially in the choirs in the parishes of St. Bernard’s and St. Mary’s in those communities, respectively. She was the “Release-Time Catholic Education Coordinator” at St. Mary’s during the late 70’s. Her life was marked by her devotion to the Lord. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Falardeau’s Funeral Home, 94 Downer St., Baldwinsville, NY. from 4:00-6:00pm. Funeral services will be at 10:00am Monday at the funeral home followed by burial in St. Peters Cemetery, Oswego
