Obituary of James Kevin Nelson

James Kevin Nelson, 67, of Baldwinsville passed away unexpectedly Monday October 27, 2014. He was born in Syracuse. He was a Police Officer for the Syracuse Police Dept. for 20 years, retiring in 1989. JK was the owner JK Nelson and Sons Roofing. He loved being in the outdoors. He enjoyed Hunting, Trapping, fishing, and gold prospecting. JK was a true people person, he liked everyone and everyone liked him. JK was predeceased by his son James Frank Nelson. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Sheila, Children, Amanda and Matthew Nelson both of Baldwinsville, sisters Robyn (Robert) Cooper of Skaneateles, Cynthia (Richard) Tyler of Jamestown and nieces, Samantha Hamilton, Alexandra Swiech, Marnie Tyler, and Erin Tyler. Calling hours are Thursday October 30, 2014 from 4-7pm at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer Street. Baldwinsville. Burial will be private. Contributions may be made to the CNY SPCA, 5878 E.
