Ruth Ann Haws, 76, of Baldwinsville passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014 surrounded by family at Francis House. Born in Syracuse, Ruth Ann worked as a Second Grade Teacher at Genesee Hills Elementary School in Dewitt and later taught nursery school in Baldwinsville. While attending Oswego State College where she received her teaching degree, Ruth Ann was very involved with many student activities. She spent her winters in Zephyrhills, FL and her summers in Chaumont Bay. Ruth Ann enjoyed volunteering her time at Syracuse Home and as a cook for Meals on Wheels. She was a good baker. She was a member of the Baldwinsville Church Women United and a former Scout Leader. Ruth Ann was predeceased by parents, Ruth and Paul Heins, sisters MaryLou Lasnicki and Ann Heins and brother Fred Heins. Survived by loving and devoted husband George, daughter Kelley (Keith) Williamson, and sons, Mike (Amy) Haws and Bill Haws, grandchildren Sean (Melissa) Williamson, Nick Williamson, Matthew and Jon Haws, Corey, Josh and Brooke Haws and three great grandchildren, brothers Paul (Agnes) Heins, John (Margaret) Heins, and Jim Heins, sisters Pat Heins, Christa (Jim) Kilmartin, Cheryl (John) Litcher, and Therese Heins and brother in law Tom Lasnicki, 29 nieces and nephews, 43 great nieces and nephews, and a very special God Mother to eight. Services: Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 10:00 am, at St. Augustine’s Church Baldwinsville. Burial will be St. Mary's Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are Friday, 4-7pm at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville In lieu of flowers, Contributions may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave, Syracuse, NY 13208 OR St. Augustine’s Church, 7333 Obrien Rd, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
