Ralph W. Atwater, III, 83, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014, in the comfort of his home and family. Born August 16, 1930 in New Jersey, he became a life long resident of Baldwinsville. Ralph worked at Pass and Seymour in Solvay for 43 years and was a member of the National Accountants Society. He was a charter member and the first president of the Baldwinsville Optimist Club. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Dewitt and Baldwinsville Rod and Gun Clubs. He was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church in Baldwinsville for 55 years. Ralph enjoyed hunting, fishing, family and friends and cherished his time at his hunting camp and his 1000 Island cottage. He also enjoyed time with his dog "Lulu". Ralph left a legacy of four sons, 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jane Duxbury Atwater, sons, Ralph (Kay) Atwater, Charles (Lisa) Atwater, Craig (Valerie) Atwater and Terry (Michele) Atwater. A calling hour will be from 10:00am - 11:00am Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Grace Episcopal Church, 110 Oswego Rd., Baldwinsville, with services to follow at 11:00am. Contributions: In lieu of flowers to Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, or Aplastic Anemia Foundation.
