I hope the day of remembering was all you had hoped, I am sorry I had to miss it. I'll bet their were a lot of tears ,hugs and laughs ,he was a great guy. My uncle Charlie never made you feel small he gave me little words of wisdom and advise that made you walk away thinking and feeling better . I will really miss him A LOT, I wish now I could hug him. Love U always.

Charlie was a lover of people and experiences. He had lots of stories to tell - which he didn't edit for a PG-13 rating! Stories of travel, turbines, friends and family. Sometimes he told me stories while shooting pool. (His engineering skills may have helped shooting pool - he was pretty good!). He loved his family. He told me stories and current happenings of his boys and Rush. I'll miss you Charlie.

Charlie was one of my best friends from sixth grade on and the best man at my wedding. For sure he was a naughty kid but a kind giving and funny soul. I have depended on him for many things in my life. I will miss him..

To all of Charlie's friends and family
Charlie often said he knew no strangers, only friends he hadn't met yet. He touched countless lives with his love, generosity, kindness, caring, humor, knowledge, expertise, and his gift of playing piano. He was and will continue to be beloved by so many, including me. Peace to all who grieve his loss and deep gratitude for his presence in our lives!

I'm remembering Charlie in his green Letterman's Spartan sweater, leaning aside in physics in case I needed to see the answers. I'm remembering a poem he wrote about us sitting in the tree house at our cottage, watching the waves on the lake. It's my 21st birthday, and I'm remembering having way too much to drink at Murphy's and Charlie is sitting by me all night holding a trash can and damp washcloth.
And we are sailing down a mountain at Killington, and skimming the water on skis. And I am listening to his stories about turbine engines. Yes, I'll miss even those (way too long) stories.
I can't make the memorial on Saturday as I'm in Chicago this week with an ailing dad, but my heart is there with Rush and familyand Charlie Pond.

Deepest sympathies to Charlie's family. I have not been in touch with him for many years, but was a classmate from 1st grade all the way through HS. He was a fun guy, and from everything I hear, a real good man, father, and husband. I will always remember Charlie as the mischievous kid in our classes in grade school. I know you will remember him as a loving son, brother, husband, and dad. RIP Charlie.
