I've been searching for Romeo for some years now. I think Romeo and I went to Vietnam together and left together and was stationed in Da Nang, Vietnam together in 72'. I'm sorry for your loss and that I didn't get to connect with Romeo sooner. We were close in Vietnam and thought of him often since our return. The kind of man Romeo was then I'm sure he left a positive impression in many lives. I've seen a photo of Romeo and I'm certain this is the right Romeo Astafan. In case he lost his I have many photos of Romeo in Vietnam as I am sure he does of me. Anyway, I am sorry for your loss. Johnnie

My deepest sympathy to the family of Romeo, who I knew well. I am sorry Michael I was not there for you as a funeral director, which were the wishes he made with me.
May he enjoy his eternal rest and the rewards he has earned. May his family derive some measure of comfort in the knowledge that we share their grief with them...Tony

I am sorry for your families loss--I remember Romeo in high school, we graduated together in 1970. I then worked with him at the Nuke plant in the late 1970's for a while before he and I moved on. Myself and my future wife, along with Rick and MaryAnn Van Brocklin attended Romeo's wedding. Sometime at the end of the 1990's or early 2000's I saw Romeo at the Securitas building in Liverpool, where he worked in some capacity. After that time I have not had contact with him. He is the third person from our graduating class (that I know of) that has passed away this year. Again my deepest sorrow.. Charlie
