Arlene M. Meloni, 79, of Liverpool died Monday, September 2, 2013. Born in the Bronx the daughter of Julius and Jeanne Diamentini, Arlene grew up in Westchester County, moving to Syracuse in 1972. Employed by Unity Mutual Life Insurance Company for 30 years as the executive assistant to John F. X. Mannion, the company’s Chairman, Arlene was a dear friend and colleague to countless members of the Unity family. An indefatigable worker, generous and warm-hearted companion and great cook Arlene is survived by her devoted sister, Joy Quimby; nephew, Bruce Quimby of Baldwinsville and her niece, Janice Tarnow of Camillus; her daughter-in-law, Nancy Milligan of Fairfield, CT; her dear grandchildren, William (Jenn), Kurt, Margaret, Kelley, Patrick, Sean, Kieran Wittbold, and Thomas J. Milligan; her great-grandchild Wolfgang Wittbold; several grandnieces and nephews and her first husband, Richard Milligan. Arlene was predeceased by her beloved son and daughter, Robert Milligan and Karen Milligan Wittbold and her second husband, Gene Meloni. Arlene’s friends and co-workers are invited to pay their respects Sunday, September 8, 2013, at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville, from 4-7pm. Services are 9:00am Monday, September 9, 2013, at the funeral home and 9:30am in St. Mary’s Church, 47 Syracuse, St., Baldwinsville. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia And Lymphoma Society Western & Central NY, 4043 Maple Road, Amherst, NY 14226.
