I knew Bertha for about 3 months, but it felt like eternity. Bertha made my stay at James Square tolerable. She always had something funny to say that would get the both of us laughing so that we didn't have to deal with the staff there. Bertha reminds me so much of my own Mom, with her straight forward comments whether they were nice ones or not. :) I felt like I had my mom back for a short while. I was wishing that the two of use could get together outside of our rehabs and cause some good old trouble out in the community. :) To Jenny and the rest of Bertha's family I am so sorry for your loss, Bertha was a wonderful woman and will be missed so very much. I wish we had longer time with you Miss Bertha, but we shall meet again up in Heaven. Heaven better watch out because if Bertha and my Mom Betty get together they will be causing some trouble.
