Laura J. Patrick, 71, of Liverpool, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013 at her home. Born in Asheville, NC she lived in the Syracuse area all of her life. She graduated from Central Tech Vocational School and received her five-year program Bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University. She worked as a Regional EEOC Postal Supervisor and was an HIV Counselor for Onondaga County. Laura loved all things Syracuse University, especially Syracuse Football. What Laura cherished most was her family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Marie Brown, grandmother, Laura Anderson, siblings, Kathryn Clark, Calvin Brown, and Myrtis McMillan, and uncle Andrew Anderson. The family would like to thank the CNY Dialysis Center for their compassionate care of Laura for the past 7 years. Survivors: her children, Dorothy M. (Duane) Hernandez Carpenter of Albany, Joseph “Jose” (Linda) Hernandez, Sonya Y. Hernandez, Tiffany T. Patrick and Desiree A. Patrick all of Liverpool; grandchildren, Nelson Johnson, Lorelei Patrick and Logan Patrick; and her life-long friend Betty Rouse. Calling hours are 3-5pm and 6-8pm Monday, February 4, 2013 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at St. Mary’s Church, Baldwinsville. Burial, Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse.
