Obituary of Lisle B. Miller

Lisle B. Miller, 78, of Baldwinsville, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013 at St. Josephs Hospital with his family by his side. He was a life long resident of Baldwinsville and graduated in 1953 from Baldwinsville Academy. He was employed by Acme Markets, Dave’s Cedarwood Farms and Smith’s Supermarket as a produce manager. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Baldwinsville and enjoyed spending time with family, friends, gardening, hunting, watching birds and sports and telling jokes. Lisle was predeceased by his parents, Carl and Ethel Miller and his brother, Lawrence Miller. A special thank you to GBAC and St. Joseph’s Hospital staff for their kindness. Lisle is survived by his loving wife Elfriede (Imminger) Miller of 52 years that he met and fell in love with while stationed in Germany serving in the U.S. Army. He is also survived by their children: Birgitta McLaughlin of Syracuse, Thomas Miller (Doreen) of Camp Hill, PA, Margaret Jock of Baldwinsville, Michael Miller (Kathleen) of Seneca Falls and Steve Miller (Lynn) of Baldwinsville; grandchildren: Derek (Elena), Ryan (Christina), Mitch (Megan), Sarah, Connor, Abby, Rachael, Hannah, Heidi, Anna, Darren, Steven, Bridget and Holly; 8 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Rosemarie Schmelcher of Germany; family and friends including Molly and Roy Engels of Baldwinsville. Calling hours will be 4-8pm Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Prayer services will be at 9:00am Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the funeral home, 93 Downer St. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am at St. Mary’s Church, Baldwinsville. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Contributions: St. Mary’s Church Human Development, 47 Syracuse St., Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
