William F. Koegel, 62, of Baldwinsville passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was a selfless person and lived life to the fullest. He had a deep passion for cooking. Bill began his career at 14 working for Sherman’s Restaurant. He continued working in places like the B’ville Diner, Fireside Inn, Bonnie Castle, Jordan Diner, and Don Elliot’s truck stop. Bill made his dream come true when he and his former wife Trudy operated the Parkview Diner in Auburn. Bill was forced to retire due to his diabetes but continued cooking at home for family and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Helen Koegel. Survivors: his brother, Bob (Joni) Koegel; 3 sisters, Mary (John) Kiechle, Kathleen Kammer and Noreen (James) Welsh; adoptive daughter Jennifer and granddaughter Alyssa Bittner; several nieces, nephews and many close friends. Services: Bill touched many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. A memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 1-5pm at Tassone’s Wine Garden, 8113 Dexter Parkway, Baldwinsville, NY. Please join us to celebrate Bill’s life.
