Francis A. "Frank" Cosentino, 84, of Fobes Island Baldwinsville passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at his daughter’s residence in Frostproof, Fl. He was born July 27, 1928 in Oswego, NY to the late Monte and Frances (LaNasa) Cosentino. He traveled to Florida three months ago. Francis was a welder for General Electric, and after 25 years there, worked for Allied Signal in Solvay 15 years until he retired. He was a member of a welders union and had been a union steward at GE. Francis was an artist and enjoyed metal sculpture, wood carving, sketching and painting and had some local recognition. Francis also had been a long time volunteer, over 25 years and 6500 hours at St Joseph Hospital in Syracuse. Francis was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce (Emmerth) Cosentino, married for 37 years. He also lost a companion of 10 years Sara Patchett, and two brothers Roy and Joseph. Surviving are his daughters Linda Oliver of Frostproof, FL, Diane (James) Harding of Haysville, KS, Lois Juall of Frostproof FL, Donna (Ezquiel) Soria of Perrin, TX, Karen Cosentino of Frostproof, FL and sons Paul Cosentino (Elizabeth) and Andrew Cosentino (Pina) both of Syracuse and Richard (Connie) Emmerth of Frostproof FL. Also, his sister Rose Gray of Concord, NC and brother August (Carol) Cosentino of Englishtown, NJ. He had 20 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Calling hours will be on Friday, August 31, 2012, at the Falardeau Funeral Home in Baldwinsville, NY from 5 to 7pm for family and friends, and a Mass of Christian Burial at St Marys Church in Baldwinsville on Saturday, September 1, 2012, at 9am.
