Doris Stillman Cook, 99, of Meigs Road, Baldwinsville, died Saturday at Syracuse Home Association in Baldwinsville. Born in Olean, she lived in Syracuse most of her life. She graduated from Olean High School and from Syracuse University School of Journalism in 1925. She was public relations director for United Way from 1946 to 1950, and director of Syracuse and Onondaga County USO from 1951 to 1966 and Troops-in-Transit USO from 1941 to 1946. She was The Post-Standard Woman of Achievement in Social Services in 1967, a charter member of the Corinthian Club of Syracuse and past president of Syracuse University Alumni Club. Her husband, John F., died in 1970. Survivors: A niece, Barbara Coit Turner of Baldwinsville; a nephew, John H. Coit of Jamesville. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday in First Unitarian Universalist Society of Syracuse, 250 Waring Road, Syracuse. Burial, Oakwood Cemetery, Syracuse. No calling hours. Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville, has arrangements. Contributions: Beaver Lake Nature Center, East Mud Lake Road, Baldwinsville 13027.
