Dear Margaret, David, and Wendy:
I was so saddened to hear of Bruce's death. I knew him at Cortland and was his 1st wife from 1975-79. I loved Bruce as a person, but our marriage just did not work. I am pleased that he remarried and had both a wonderful life and two children He was probably so thrilled to have children and a wife who "fit." I can't believe that he died so young. My prayers go out to your family.
It sounds as though he found his " Wonderful Life."

Dear Peg & Family: 2/1/2012
Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of Bruce. It is extremely difficult for me to express in words, how much I share in your sorrow.
I was fortunate to have Bruce as my roommate for two(2) years (1972-1974), while attending SUNY College at Cortland. We had many good times together, and he served as my "Big Brother" on many occassions. I knew then, he would make a wonderful teacher because of his energy, enthusiasm, love of learning, dedication, great sense of humor, and his willingness to always help others. He was generous, kind, and a true gentleman at all times.
Luckiy, we stayed in touch after graduation. I always enjoyed his "post Christmas" greetings and annual updates. Bruce was eager to share news about his family and friends and never took a front seat in talking about himself. It is rare to find an educator who spends 35 years in the same school district. I credit him for his display of patience, loyalty, and optimism throughout many difficult years.
News of his death came as a real shock, as I always knew him to be in the "peak of health". As long as I can remember, Bruce was active in coaching, playing softball, and following the Yankees.
I am so glad that you and Bruce were able to attend our wedding (Doug & Armida Bolton) in July, 2006. It meant a great deal to have you join us on this special day. We shall long remember this fine celebration marked by the many friends and family members who were present.
Indeed, Bruce shall be greatly missed, and words cannot adequately convey our sadness for your loss. May it comfort you to know that Bruce will always be held in highest regard, and that he will be long remembered by everyone who was associated with him. I have the utmost respect for Bruce and sincerely hope that he is resting in peace.
Please continue to keep in touch, knowing that as your friends, we care about you and your family. May God Bless you all during this time of need. Be well!

Peggy & all Bruce's family,
I am finally accepting that Bruce has passed on. I just didn't think it would happen. I am so sorry for you all. The Bruce I remember from ICC High School was a fair wonderful person. Our families grew up together and his folks especially David, his Dad I knew for years afterwards and even became friends with. Bruce was always into sports, always nice to talk with. [My folks couldn't take me to the basketball games so I road with the Kramer's or the Light's to evening events. I kept score for the basketball team for 4 years.] It was good to catch-up when you came through town. I now appreciate how calm and respectful his spirit was. And always playing ball all these years. I can't find your address again, so i don't know if you will ever get the card I've written, but God Bless.

To Coach Kramer's Family and Loved Ones: I was shocked and saddened to learn of Coach Kramer's passing. I used to work with him at Fowler. I would like to send my deepest sympathy to the Kramer family. I was one coach Kramers students back 91-92 yr but I play soccer for him 5 yrs when I started as J.V and I also played baseball for him. I realy dont know what yo say only that he was amd ever will be the best coach/teacher that anyone could have at Fowler. The funny thing is that Kramer also had the joy of teaching 3 of my kids and they also would come back to me and tell me that coach Kramer says hi. I would see coach when I was out and about I would ask him how the kids wher doing on the soccer field and we would alk for a good 15 to 20 minutes and he would go down the line on who has the ability to do good and who can do better. Well I guess I can keep going on and on but what I realy want to say is that COACH U WILL BE MISSED BY EVERYONE OF UR STUDENTS AT FOWLER HIGH SCHOOL. Mrs Kramer,
My wife AnnMarie and I would like to offer our heart felt sympathy to you and your family.Coach Kramer was taken away from us way too soon, and he will be missed. I first met him in 8th grade as one of his JV baseball players. My first memory of him was when I had to take the physical fitness test that all junior high school athletes had to pass in order to participate in a high School sport. Being a nervous kid in a new setting with older kids didn't last long because of him. His patience and commitment to Fowler HS as a coach and teacher will always be remembered. The 35 years he spent at Fowler was a blessing to ALL of us. As a man, his integrity is something that i will always admire and respect. My wife AnnMarie has had the pleasure of working with Bruce for the past 18 years. She always enjoyed the wonderful talks they would have about his soccer team. He would also never forget to ask about how our children were as they are athletes. He gave great advice and that She will treasure forever.
God Bless you and your family,

Bruce! The familiar yell of the rebellious teens on our early 90's soccer teams. It never seemed to bother you to be on a first name basis with us. Soccer was fun because you were the coach. We won one game our senior year, and Bruce makes the paper with this quote, "The kids had to dump water on me because the school district doesn't afford us Gatorade." In the end it really didn't matter how many times we won or lost, the comraderie of the players and coaches became what mattered. Condolences to the Kramer family, the fact so many peoples lives were touch by Coach Kramer testifies to the good person he was.

Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss
our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. Mr kramer was my gym teacher back in the 90,s he was such a really nice guy. He always was optimistic about everything. When He would see a student struggling he would always try to guide them in the right direction. The past 5 years Mr. Kramer has felt like family to me. My son Tommie joined modified baseball team in 8th grade. Mr Kramer was his coach. The team hardly ever won a game, but mr. Kramer would not care he just smile. He wanted these boys to learn the game and learn how to be a team player. As the years went on Kramer continued to coach my son.June,2010 is when the team WON the FIRST Syracuse City School Championship game ever. I remeber Kramer with the biggest smile on his face with tears in his eyes! He was so proud!!!! The following year my son became a senior. The year felt empty without Kramer he was no longer coaching/ teaching. His illness was getting the best of him. I just wanna say THANK YOU KRAMER for what you have instilled not only in me but my son as well!! We will play ball someday again. REST in PEACE.

What a loss! I was so sad to learn of Bruce's death. My condolences to his family. I taught with Bruce at Fowler for oh, so many years. What great memories, what great kids, what great stories ("Make the play; make the play!"). Such a terrific guy -- I wish you could have had many more years to spread your Kramer humor. Peace!

I worked and coached with Bruce for the past six years and what I think of most is, through everything, you knew you could count on him. There were plenty of times when I was in a pinch and had nearly run out of options and Bruce picked me up. I have never been around a person so devoted to optimism and with the ability to find something good to say about everybody. He was beyond committed to the students he taught and the players he coached, and it was a quality that was felt and appreciated by every student athlete whose life he touched. I have spoken to more former student athletes in the past 24 hours than I have in the past five years, all inquiring and paying respects to Coach Kramer. They know, as we all do, that Fowler High School will not be the same going forward, but will forever be grateful for having such a great man for such a long time. You are and will continue to be missed. God Bless You.

I met Dave, Mr Kramer's son during my first year of college at Oswego St. I was able to get to know Dave and Sue very well through those years at Oswego. I was privileged to know Mr Kramer through to his son. I remember one day while Coaching for Fulton Baseball, seeing him at the Fowler High School while dropping the Varsity team off for their game. He took time to say hello and talk to me while waiting for our guys to exit the bus. In talking with him and getting to know his son over the course of 3 years, it is obvious of the character, morals, beliefs and quality of the person Mr Kramer was which was passed onto Dave. The apple does not fall too far from the tree.
