Uncle Bob has always been one of the most honorable and kind men I have ever been privileged to know. I loved him for the way he cared for his family, in particular his wife, his wonderful sense of humor, and the way he always made me feel important to him. Words cannot express how much I will miss him....how much I already miss him. His hug, his kiss on my cheek, his term of endearment by calling me Susie, reserved for only a special few in my life. I'll remember the many games of Shang Hai we all gathered for when visiting, the delicious meals he prepared for us when we came to Syracuse. The wonderful way he took care of my Mother's needs when he and Aunt Ruth would come to visit her. And, always, the smile on his face and the laughter in his voice. Uncle Bob was a special man, a genuine, good human being, and the world was a better place for his having been here.
Please forgive me for not being able to attend his funeral. Know that in my heart I am there with all of you and feeling the pain of your loss. I love all of you and hope you are able to find some comfort in knowing how much the man who was your rock was loved by so many.
Love, Sue
