William A. Phoenix, 76, of Baldwinsville passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011, at his home. He was born in Amsterdam, NY and had lived in Baldwinsville since 1961. Bill retired from General Electric after 32 years of service and drove bus for the Baldwinsville School district for 10 years following his retirement. He was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church where he was a lector and drove St. Mary’s bus for release time classes. Bill was predeceased by two sisters, Ruth Collins and Audrey DeRocker and a daughter-in-law, Denise Phoenix. Survivors: his wife of 55 years, Dolores A. Phoenix; a daughter Mary Beth Hart of Matthews, NC; two sons, Kevin M. (Debra) Phoenix of Fayetteville and Richard W. Phoenix of Cicero; a brother James (Helen) Phoenix of Texas; three grandchildren, Allison, Conor and Sean; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services: 9:00am Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville and 9:30am in St. Mary’s Church. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours are 4-7pm Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at the funeral home, 93 Downer St. Contributions: Hospice Of CNY, 990 7th North Street, Liverpool, NY 13088-6148
