John and Freda were such a wonderful couple. I met them when they came over to tri county mall to listen to the country jam sessons that my Dad, Ray Roberts led. They enjoyed visisting with friends and singing along to the music. Then we visited at Lorreto N H when the groupes I sang with came to entertain . I also got to attend his 101st B'day party there and sang some of his favorite songs for him. He always greeted me with a big smile and hug. We miss you John and Freda. Ray's daughter Sue.

The officers and members of the Onondaga County American Legion extend their condolences.
John was indeed an ancient warrior who saw many changes in the world.
I am sure that he was a friend to all who knew him.
I will put is obituary in my history book of Onondaga County.

I have such fond memories of the family reunions that we had in the years past. If it wasn't for you, aunt Freda, and Uncle Ernie the kids wouldn't have had those special treats and ice cream. Rest in Peace Uncle John. You will be missed

I am so sorry to read of Johns passing. He was a mentor to me when I started at Crouse-Hinds right up until he retired from the tool grind department. He kept my nose to the grindstone and for that Im thankful. I still have the tools he sold me when he retired. Rest in peace John, and thank you for all the lessons.
