Ray and Adeliene Johnson were my dearest godparents. I just found out that Ray died! My dad and Ray grew up together and mom was friends with both RAy and Addie. They played cards and Uno together. Cherie knew them when the boys were small and we lived in Syracuse. RAy's two nephews were family to me. Ray taught me to be Elvis! We enjoyed our trip with the Johnsons to Tennessee and Graceland. I remember the good times and when he worked at Crouse Irving Hospital. He will be really missed a lot.

I would just like to say a few words about my Elvis friends Addie and Ray. On Elvis Presley birthday. I was sad to hear of Ray's passing, I will always remember the time I flew down to join Addie and Ray in Menphis. We stayed at the Regal 8 hotel run by a very nice lady named Frances. Addie would drive the van over to the wooden nickle gift shop on Elvis Presley boulevard where we would spend a good part of the day, also seen Sun Studio and went to Beale street at night. It was a good trip hard to beleive it was twenty years agao now. Also the times I visited them at their home and watched Bonanza on TV. Lets not forget that Ray worked nights at Crouse Hospital in house keeping for many years and loved to drink coffee. Sincerely Gary Greenough

We are both so sorry for the loss of this wonderful man, whom we had met when we sang for Van-Duyn facility. we sing all over, for the aged and wherever we can. Our favorites are the elderly people. They love the old classic country music. Our understanding, is that Ray Johnson enjoyed impersonating Elvis Presley. I believe, back in his younger days. We were not able to make calling hours due to employment, but want to share the sadness of his loss. May he rest in peace, singing with the "Angels". ;0
