To Dick Johnson's family:
My father Bob Caryl was Dick's employer for those 40 years. My Dad started me as an electrician's apprentice in the summer of 1960. One of the journeymen electricians I learned under was Dick Johnson. Dick was skilled, efficient and very patient with me as I was a slow learner. After a couple summers I was trusted to rough and finish wire houses and apartments. When there was something I needed to learn new, Dick was one of two electricians I was sent with to learn from.
Dick was one of the two most loyal employees my Dad ever had. He was always there. My Dad valued Dick's hard work, initiative and his good grace and sense of humor. It was a privilege to know Dick. He will undoubtedly be missed. I wish the family well.

To The Dear Sweet Family of Richard Johnson Sr.,
Uncle Richard was blessed by having so many people that loved him, and Special People in his life.
We spent a lot of time together on Canton Street Road. Good Times, Special Times, Magical Times. Uncle Richard had an aura about himself that was sweet and curious to me as a child. I always wanted to be around him and listen to him talk, even though I didn't necessarily know what he was talking about. Memories of riding snow mobiles and shooting skeet have traveled with me all my life. Uncle Richard going in the ocean in November when we first moved to Florida. November!!! Uncle Richard was a robust man, a doer, a man of action. Time and time again he would show us something he was working on in the shed, or an addition to the house. His enthusiasm was infectious... I never had the pleasure of being in his Scout Troop but then all those lucky guys never got the pleasure of being his Nephew. Specifically, To My Cousins, "Your Dad set the bar pretty high. We must do all we can to achieve that."

Love,
Eric

Dear Eileen and Richard's children my prayer are with you at this time of your greatest lose. Dick is now smiling down upon you all and watching over you all to get you through the next two days. Like the poem foot prints states "the lord will carry you in your greatest time of needs and you will only see one print of foot steps and that is the lords. I want to thank Eileen for the opportunity to take care of Dick, it was a great pleasure and I will truly miss him! Love. Wendy L. Miller LPN

To all of my family in B-ville.
It is with great sadness I take in the news of my Uncle Richard falling asleep peacefully in the ever green pastures of Heaven.
But now the suffering is over and yet we already know in our hearts that the Lord shall provide us once again with another guardian angel to watch over us the same as my very deeply missed father, Earl Wilson.
I will cherish my childhood memories of these fine servants of God until he calls upon me. With much Love Uncle Richard, "Peace be With you".
To Auntie Barbara,Cousins Richie,Chrissy, Jeff and Jamie my heart also is with you as you all deal with these difficult times as I am one of experience.
P.S. The only differences between Uncle Richard and the Green Giant were I could always feel tall looking down at the TV. But always looking up at Uncle Richard was a wonderous sight all on it's own. God Bless You All.
