Thursday, November 25, 2010
Well today is Thanksgiving Day and I find little to be thankful for this year. I miss Sue terribly and wish I was with her. Next Tuesday Sue will be gone 4 months and I am still learning to live without my best friend.
I want to thank all the people that have posted on here, and hope they check in now and then to see her pictures. I have finally found the pictures Sue wanted for her Slide-show, but it's too late to share them with you all. I now have to move as Sue's sister's want me out of the house. I will miss the hose and all the memories of Sue there. I imagine that this is the last post here as nobody has been here since August.
I wish you all had of known Sue as well as I did in the 30 years we were together.
Bye.... Mike

The bus garage will not be the same without your wife. She always took care of others , never self centered. You would never know how she was truly feeling because she was more concerned of how we were. After my 9yr old son passed away during Thanksgiving break she constantly made sure she asked how I was doing daily! You have lost a great wife but God has gained an amazing Angel...may you look to the almighty God during this painful time, I have and it helps!

The news of Sue's passing hit me so hard; it's inevitable, of course, that we all will leave this Earth one day, but it doesn't resonate until you get the news that a very Dear Love One has passed on. Sue and I have carried on a very good friendship since High School! Keeping in touch was more difficult in the 'old days' with snail mail, but now with FB and email, we were able to really keep in touch! I will miss Sue very much...I am greatful for the years of memories!!
My sincere sympathies go out to you Doug and to Sue's entire family...she was such a family oriented person, I know you'll all miss her the most!!
To Sue, I'll see you in Heaven and we'll pick up the friendship where we left off!!

Apparently all those years of dying my hair blonde has had a long-term affect because I just now realized where to post this. Ugh!
I realize I'm a bit late with my memories of Susie but Mom says better late than never. What stands out to me in all the time I was acquainted with her is how Susie could stand her ground. Not everyone can master that skill with the quiet ease that she seemed to possess. And she wasn't a phony. We got along just fine but had not much in common. In some cases when you are put together with someone because of marriage you pretend a relationship you don't feel. Susie never felt the need and that took me off the hook as well. We liked each other fine and we were content to leave it at that. I'll miss her in that I've always relied on her to take care of my big brother and she was always kind to me. I feel awful for the pain she had to endure and that she left so soon. I pray that Mike and her family heal and find joy in the time she shared with all of them.
Blessings,
Lynn West-Puhle

Thank You Everybody for the kind words and wishes. I am sorry I was kind of out of it at the funeral Home. I tried to keep things light as every time someone started to cry it was like a switch and I couldn't deal with more pain. I hope you all understand. I am particularly impressed with Tony and the whole Falardeau experience. They made this tough process almost a joy and all without being in the least fake about anything. Bravo! Pat yourselves on the back and I'm not a man that impresses easily.
To the people I never met, I am so glad I had the pleasure to thank you for coming. I am just sorry during the first crowd that I didn't get a chance to really tell you how impressed I was at the out pouring of Love for my Best Friend and Wife. I was so proud of her for the things I heard about her. And again you can tell when it's fake. She was truly loved and missed. I am so going to terribly miss her in the coming months and years. We both had such plans for the coming years. No matter what happens in my future life, Susie it the high standard that people are going to be held to in my opinion. She was sure an impressive individual. I will keep this short as I tend to ramble on. And writing about Sue helps bring her close to me.
I will send this out through both Her's and My contact list's and maybe this will be the last email you receive from Susie. But I can still feel her giggle that people got email and notes from her accounts.
Thank You folks for showing up here and in person, I really appreciated it and I know Sue would have been impressed too.
Sincerely THANK YOU from Sue's Husband
Doug or Mike, however you know me.

Not what did she gain, but what did she give?
These are the units to measure the worth
Of a woman as a woman, regardless of birth.
Not, what was her church, nor what was her creed?
But had she befriended those really in need?
Was she ever ready, with word of good cheer,
To bring back a smile, to banish a tear?
Not what did the sketch in the newspaper say,
But how many were sorry when she passed away.

I read of a man who stood to speak at the funeral of a friend. He referred to the dates on her tombstone from the beginning to the end. He noted that first came her date of birth and spoke the following date with tears, But he said what mattered most of all was the dash between those years(1948-2010)For that dash represents all the time that she spent alive on earth...And now only those who loved her Know what that little line is worth. For it matters not, how much we own;The cars..the house..the cash. What matters is how we live and love and how we spend our dash.

Thanks Folks for the kind Words for Susie.
I am going to post this web address to mine and Sui's contact list. I am just over whelmed on how many people loved Sue. We are kinda private people and were happy just being together. She was my Best Friend for 30 years, and Wife for 23 Years. I have been shot twice and knifed once and never, ever, hurt this bad.
I am going to miss her so much. We were a team in everything and it's so hard to break that habit. I find myself all the time turning to show her or say something to her and it hits me all over again. We were so looking forward to her retiring and taking some well deserved time off. She struggled through all the pain and sickness with two Chemo and radiation treatments and she was doing great. I just wish I had One more Hug and to tell her I loved her.
Thanks All.
Sue's husband.

Your passing leaves a hole in my heart, but I know your memory will fill it. Rest in peace and watch over all of us. You will be missed.
Prayers to all of your family.
