My grandfather was always a loyal man to me he was a legend someone who I could talk to. I remember the times when he would go in the dark room in the basement to work on his pictures that he took when hiking, walking the lake, and many other places. My grandfather was also a hero, he was very brave and to me he did win the fight with the cancer that he was facing. I miss you grandpa

Dear Linda and Family,
I remember your dad fondly and the interest he took in my love of photography. He would show me around his dark room, explaining different techniques to create various effects in finished photos, and showcase his beautiful Adirondack landscapes. Through his masterpieces, I could see the beauty of everyday life that he captured so perfectly. He was a jolly guy with a keen eye and appreciation for his surroundings. Ill miss his caring spirit and unique take on life, but will remember fondly the role he played in my growing up and how he helped shape my view of the world. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Love,
Becca Brewer

Dearest family - Edna, Don, Linda, Richard, Ethel, Monica, Gina, Don and Laura, Christopher, Mary Louise, Robert, Jennifer, Emily, Nicholas, and Jacob -
Don was a special man in the lives of each of you and nothing can ever take his place. He loved all of you and you loved him, too. It seems wrong that he should have been taken from you when you all still need him in so many ways. He is still here and if you listen carefully he will be guiding you still. You know what he would have said to you so just listen.
Others of us will miss him, too. When they were children, Don was the closest thing Ed had to a little brother and in these last years Ed has enjoyed the chance to know him as an adult and share memories and new information about the family as Ed has tried to learn things in depth about the Newfoundland ancestors. Sally enjoyed knowing Don. He was always so welcoming and kind in every way. When she joined the family he made her feel a part of it. We will miss him greatly. We feel fortunate to have two of his photographs hanging in our home and when we look at them we will remember what a wonderful man he was.
We are honored to be able to be here to celebrate his life with his family and get to know each of them in new ways. We look forward to future times with each of you as we remember Don and continue to grow as family.
Our love and prayers are with all of you now and as you continue to grieve and also celebrate the wonderful person we all love,
Ed and Sally Mill

Our family circle has been broken
a link gone from our chain
But though we've parted for awhile,
We know we'll meet again.
The midnight stars are shinning,
Upon your silent grave,
Beneath it sleeps the one we love
And the one we could not save.
However long our lives may last,
Whatever lands we view,
Whatever joy or grief be ours,
We will always think of you.
Someday we hope to meet you
Someday, we know not when,
We shall meet in a better land
And never part again.
Your the best Father-In-Law I could have asked for, Thank you, and we will miss you!

I was very sorry to receive Monica's message that Don has passed away. He was a wonderful man and deeply loved by all of us. Even though he was afflicted with cancer for so long and death was inevitable it still is a shock and a deep loss for you, and you have my sincere sympathy and the assurance of my prayers for him and you, Edna, and all your family. I will offer Mass for him and I will remember Don and all your family in my Masses and in prayer.
May the mystery of Jesus' resurrection from the dead console you during these days of sorrow. And may Don's presence to you in his new life of Resurrection strengthen you all in the days ahead!
Peace, Joy and Love, Uncle Bud
