Donald W. Miller, 78 of Baldwinsville, NY, formerly of Everett, PA was called home to be with his heavenly father on Sunday, March 28, 2010. He was born on April 25, 1931 at his grandparent’s farm in Clearville, PA; a son of the late Milton R. Miller and Mary M. (Chamberlain) Miller. On September 9, 1956, Don married Carol Jean Storrs at the Reformed Church of Bedford, PA. Don was a member of St Paul’s Lutheran Church, Liverpool, NY where he was a devoted volunteer. He served as a Sergeant with the U.S. Army during the Korean War, was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC, served as an active member of the National Guard in Evertt, PA and continued to be a member of the Central NY 82nd Airborne Division in Rome, NY. Don graduated from Everett High School, Juniata College and The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He was employed by Agway for 35 years, Manager of Tax Compliance Dept., was President of Countryside Federal Credit Union, President of the Lutheran Home of Central NY in Clinton, NY, and served his last four years as President of the Logan Country Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife Carol Jean (Storrs) Miller, brother Harry F. (Pauline) Miller of Harrisburg, PA, their children Pamela (Gary) Locke, Gala (Marc) Woolverton, Karl (Gail) Miller, Sheila (Michael) Parks, and seven grandchildren; Amanda, Patrick, Christopher (Denise), Karl, Jr., Zebulon, Gwendolyn, June, and one great grandchild Alexis. Calling hours will be 2-4 and 7-9pm Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Service will be 10:30am Thursday April 1, 2010 at the funeral home, 93 Downer St. Burial will be private at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Clearville, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church at 210 Hazel St, Liverpool, NY 13088, or your favorite charity.
