I was sad to hear of Anne's passing. Anne and my mother, Alexia (Marion) Peters were good friends and bridge players for years. I remember all of Anne's kindness to me three years ago when my mom passed away, and I also remember wonderful meals and evenings spent at Anne's home. My mom and I were often invited to family gatherings, and I have particularly fond memories of attending Eddie and Sandy's wedding with my mom. And I remember how Anne would gleam with pride when she showed pictures of the grandchildren. I will not be able to get to Syracuse for her funeral, but I extend my conlences to her family.

I came to know Anne through my Grandfather James Dale Sr....Her long time companion. Living around the corner we shared many a supper together. The table was always set with great care.. fresh flowers.. lovely table linens ..some were hand crochet work crafted by Anne's mother. I learned that not butter but oleo was used long ago it was white...and you needed to color it yourself packet included. When I was in a panic not knowing just what to cook for an occasion Anne would come up with some wonderful old recipe and rescue me... Christmas always brought the most amazing variety of home made cookies from Anne's kitchen... sugared nuts.. And ...her tree...All Santas...hundreds of just Santas ...she had collected through the years. I am very fortunate... because I thought, as I sat there at that very moment in time enjoying times with Anne & my Grandfather..that I was blessed ..I knew it right then and there. I am so fortunate to have had Anne in my life...I was introduced to her as Anne...I came to know her as Grandmother...I shall never forget her ...and will hold the memories we made forever close to my heart... Family of Anne Zogg -- I am so sorry to hear about Anne's passing. My Dad, Bob Zogg, and his brother, Dick Zogg, were first cousins of Butch and friends of Anne. It is so sad to read about the passing of each member of our parents' generation, knowing what good people they were. I last saw Butch and Anne at his mother's 90th birthday party in 1985.
Sincerely, Tom Zogg
