To Tom and the rest of the family,
I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. I haven't lived in NY for over 40 years, but I remember when we were growing up that she was a very nice person and always welcomed us into the Rogers family home. I'm sure she will be missed by many people.

Tom, Marty and Patty,
I am so sorry about Ruth. She was such a wonderful woman. I loved her wit and spending time as a child with both her and my grandmother will forever be a memory I treasure.
I tried to make arrangements so I could attend the funeral but with my husband's work schedule I will not be able to be there. Please know that in your time of sorrow I keep you close to my heart and in my prayers.
Love,
Elise Stopper (Craner)

My mother's sister was a complex woman with many attributes. She was a brave, strong woman who did her very best throughout her life to be a good person. Ruth was modest and though I often talked with her of her influence on me, she waved away talk of all that she did all her life for others. I loved her sense of humor and her laughter. I loved my Aunt Ruth and I will miss her. My heart goes out to her "kids" and the many caregivers at Syracuse Home who loved her and cared for her in her last days on earth. I will treasure her memory as will many others.

There are never enough comforting words upon the death of a loved one. Our gratitude to the generation that endured so much and made us what we are can best be shown by keeping each other in our hearts, and passing onto our children the strength of character we so came to admire in them. All of us will miss Ruth's unique sense of humor and the way she overcame all the troubles life through at her. May she rest now in peace at the end of a long and good life.

To my dear cousins, I am so sorry for each of you. Life has been difficult for all of you, with losses along the way that no one should have to endure. My love and admiration for your mother is greater than you may know. Some of my most valuable life lessons were found in her strength and fortitude.

I work at Syracuse Home as a nursing aide and shared many a laugh with Ruth. She will be missed by all of us on unit one. My heart goes out to her family, especially Pat, whose daily presence will be missed as well.
