Matthew 19 yrs ago I gave birth to you, there were no words that could express the joy you have given me through those years. We have had some very hard time when we were told about your diabeties. we struggled everyday with finger sticks, shots, illnesses and through all the stuggles we were able to keep you healthy enough to donate your organs. I will never be able to tell you that the wishes you expressed made a very difficult time for me so much easier. thank you for the gift you have given to others and the gift you have given to me. Knowing i was able to help your dreams become a reality for others has made me so proud to have had you as my son. I will always have you in my heart and mind. LOVE ALWAYS YOUR MOM !!!

I was so sorry to hear about Matt. I was his 4th grade teacher at Brewerton Elementary School. He was a nice boy and good student. I enjoyed having him in class. The picture reminds me so much of his class picture in 1999-2000. My sincere condolences to Matt's family.

Annette, Dave and Billy -
Wow --thats about all I can say. Annette I am sooo sorry for this. I know we have drifted apart but only by state. You had some great words of wisdom when I lost Joe a year and a half ago and I sure wish I had the same for you. All I can say is please keep your chin up and know that Matt will be thought of every day and he will be looking over you. You were Conner's first babysitter and he adored all of you to pieces. I can remember all the "not so good" words Matt taught my son haha!! God Bless and know we are thinking of you.

To the family of Matthew,
I regret to say that I did not know Matthew or anyone in the family, but his death touched my heart after hearing about it. I am so very sorry for your loss. He has the face of an angel, and from the postings I read online, he was a lovely boy. I am sure that he will do his best to show you that he is around you all of the time. Such a wonderful spirit never dies.
May you find comfort in one another during this difficult time. I am so sorry for you all.

Even though over the years we weren't there to spend time with you as you were growing into a fine young gentlemen, we have some great memories of you when you were younger. Like the time you kicked a soccer ball into the barn window. No doubt you were an awesome soccer player. The window is still broke as we speak. I will keep it that way and will always look at it and think of you.You are a hero and an angel, and will be in our hearts always.

Buddy, it's been so long since I've seen you but it seems like just yesterday that Tori & Liz were dressing all you boys up at my house, and you were the leader of the pack! You were always the one to lead the way for the rest of the kids & I will always be proud of you for that. I love you Buddy, & miss you very much.

To Rose and the family,
I am so saddened by your loss. Though I did not have the privilege of knowing Matthew personally, I can see from reading the messages of those who knew him that he was a unique and wonderful person, and that his loss is deeply felt. And from seeing his photo, there is kindness in his eyes. It touched me to see that this fine young man had made plans to donate his organs - this speaks to his character. I am praying for all of you.

Buddy, wow, where to begin. I guess you never think something this will hit so close to home. I spent so many years as your "oldest sister", and then things changed, I wish I had been more consistent in your life. I know you are gone, but you will NEVER be forgotten. I hope that now that your in heaven you will be able to see just how many people you have that love you. It is a true life lesson that I have learned in your passing, life really is too short. I will miss you Matthew and think of you often, love with all of my heart, Mandy.
