Eugene J. ''Gene'' Wengrzynek, 83, of Warner Avenue, Baldwinsville, died Saturday at the Syracuse Home Association. Born in Scranton, Pa., he lived in Baldwinsville 54 years. He retired in 1975 after more than 38 years at Crucible Steel Co. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Baldwinsville, and a member of Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 153 and American Legion Post 113. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors: His wife of 54 years, the former Nora E. Brotherton; a sister, Veronica Stets of New Jersey.
Services: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Falardeau Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church. Burial, Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Calling hours, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
