I didn't hear until 1 week later that Frenchy passed. The sad thing was I was thinking about him a lot lately & never got to call. he was always so busy, too. I guess I'll have to wait to see him in the resurrection to have our next lunch date. Never got to get together with the other retired Po guys. Hope someone can let Barry Ellis know. Still in Canada I think

Man Grandpa, Look at all these people, You were loved so much by so many. It looks to me like you brought alot a smiles & laughter wherever you were. I wish I got to spend more time with you, I wish I got to tell you that I loved you just one more time. I know we didnt have the best relationship like we could have, but man I miss you grandpa. I just hope you are in heaven now taking care of grandma, or atleast shes taking care of you. Im gunna miss complaining about not getting a christmas card, or a birthday card from you, even when I reminded you a week before, but thats okay. I never held it against you, I figured you just had other stuff going on and by the looks of it you did, you were always busy making people smile & being with your friends. Im glad you touched so many people's lives, you left a great impact on this world grandpa. You will never ever be forgotten. Even though I didnt get the chance recently to tell you, I hope you know I love you. And I Miss you more than ever Grandpa French.

I had a great time with "Frenchy" and Ron Ezzo and the other regulars when we used to go to NYC on the annual New York Yankees bus trip that was run by Tommy Hrim, the owner of the N&H back in the mid 1970's. He had a great dry sense of humor and used to keep most of the guys on the bus in stitches. "Frenchy" never bothered anybody. He was just a nice man who wanted to be with people and have a good time.
I will definitley miss his sense of humor as even now I like to hang out with funny people.

With our sympathies to the family and friends of David French. We couldn't have asked for a better neighbor for so many years. He enjoyed the peace and beauty of where we live and has been a great friend. We have fond memories and he will be missed by our family.

We'll miss Frenchy so much at Cam's. He was a fixture at his "special" seat. We'll put a brass plate at your spot with your name on it. We'll never forget your kindness, your gentle spirit, and your generous, giving nature. Rest in peace, my friend, and go be with your Irene again.

Words can not express the lost that the family of Dave French is feeling. May we take some comfort knowing that Dave is in a far better place and with the loved ones that had gone before him. I knew and worked with Dave for over 25 years. He was a good person.
