Dear Claude,
I am so thankful to have been able to spend some time with Grandma a few months ago and introduce her to my son... it gave me some comfort when I heard she recently passed. I will always remember her sharp wit, caring nature, and wonderful laugh. She was an instrumental figure early in my life, and I could always count on her for honest, no nonsense guidance/opinions about what I was doing with my life. I am so grateful to have had you and Grandma right across the street to keep tabs on me. What a wonderful life... what a wonderful woman. I will miss our high stakes games of "war."
