Earl W. Bud Ashby, 68, of Syracuse passed away Thursday, October 15, 2009 at St. Josephs Hospital. He was a Baldwinsville native and attended C. W. Baker High School in Baldwinsville. He worked for several different companies including the Ashby Oil Company, the NYS Thruway, Marsellus Casket and retired in 2006 from GYPSUM Express in Baldwinsville. He also worked most recently at Dunkin Donuts at Carrier Circle for 2 years.
Survivors: two daughters, Roxann (Joseph, Jr.) Pontello of Phoenix and Pennie Ashby of Oswego; two sons, Leslie Ashby of Syracuse and Michael (Brandie) Ashby of Jordan; a sister, Pat DeRocha of Solvay; three brothers, Charles and Larry Ashby, both of Baldwinsville and Joe Ashby of Oswego; his companion, Dolores Martin of Syracuse; his ex-wife, Sandra Fleming of Baldwinsville; 16 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Services: 11:00am Monday, October 19, 2009 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Burial, Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners. Calling hours are 2-5pm Sunday, October 18, 2009 at the funeral home, 93 Downer St.
