To all the McManus's especially Nicole & Danielle. I want to share with you a memory of your Dad.
This is when Nicole was less than 2 yrs. old. Nicole your mom & dad were putting an addition on the house and your dad and several others were on the roof. To the horror of everyone Nicole had somehow managed to climb to the top of the ladder without the rest of us noticing. She reached the top and her dad spotted her and in a quiet voice said "Stay right there Daddy's coming" --- he somehow got to her scooped her up in his arms and carried her down the ladder. This was Mike quietly rescuing all who needed him especially his girls.

To the family & friends of Michael, please accept my sincere & heartfelt sympathy. Unfortunately, I know the pain you are feeling all too well as I lost my only son just a few weeks ago. I know that nothing can make the pain go away, but always remember that the love of family & friends can offer some comfort. I can also tell you that I had a very uplifting spiritual experience shortly after my son's passing, and I know now, more than ever, that our time on earth is only a very short and temporary "test" to prepare us for our ultimate home. Michael is now experiencing a profound happiness that our language has no words to describe. He see's you when you pray for him & he want's you to know that his pain has turned to ultimate joy. The pain is only for those he has left behind. I did not know Michael, but it has been said that the quality of a man can be measured by the quality of his friends & family. Knowing Kate as I do, this tells me that he was a great man. As my son was also a motorcycle rider, I hope that he & Michael can hook up for that ultimate ride together in the sky.
Love and Peace to you all.

Bruce & Sue & Family,
Mike was such a good man! The last time I saw him was at the Family reunion about 7 years ago and he gave me a ride on his bike to help me lose my fear of riding. I only then understood the freedom of riding and finally lost my fear. I'll never forget that ride. Mom, Dad and my brother Mike join me in sending you our love and deepest sympathies.

To the entire McManus family and friends:
No words can comfort you; no actions can ease the pain and suffering. Just know that our hearts and prayers are with all of you in your time of need. I cant remember the last time I saw Mc, but I have avid memories of him motorcycle hill climbing with Bruce and Royce down near Savannah N.Y. back in the mid to late seventies. Ride on Mc, and blaze us a road to follow.

An angel whispered in my ear that you are now at rest.
And we are all here left behind, knowing that you were the best.
Please know I'll make our Sheilah laugh as often as I should,
making sure she'll be alright when the time is good.
I wish I could have known you and once ridden by your side,
You'd really have like my bike called boo, he's really quite a ride.
Get on your bike that waits for you and know that we're OK.
And know that Sheilah loved you so, each and every day.
Ride in Peace, Mc.

I ran into Mike last month at Chestnut Hill. He was working and I was there for an inservice. It was so good to catch up with him, and he talked about loving his job, loving his family, riding his motorcycle and how he would spend his time once he reached retirement. We've known each other for many years, not seeing each other often, but when we did he always had that warm, welcoming, trademark smile. You will be missed Mike. You will be missed.

I did not know Mike, but met many, many of closest loved ones during their most trying moments in the past two weeks (at University Hospital,) and feel privileged to have learned of Mike's life and to have spent time with these precious folks as they wrestled with his tragic misfortune.
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to each of you as you live with Mike's memory and as you live as he would have wished.
