I've known dorothy, whom i affecionatly called dora about 5 months. After my mother became a resident of van duyn nursing home.I am a Pastor and pianist. Many evenings i plaayed and sang for the the residents on the 4th floor. And Doara became my biggest fan. Many evenings when i began to play, Dora would come all the awy from the other side of the room. With her big beautiful, radiant smile right next to me and as i ministered in song. She loved How Great Thou Art, and Oh When the Saints Go Marching In. Along with many other songs. We often sat and talked and we fell in love with each other.I felt like i was a son. When i reached the 4th floor and got off the elevator i looked forward to her greeting me.But now i will have to wait till i get to heaven, for us to meet again. She was a wonderful woman who made a great impact on me, in the short time that i have known her.I am going to dearly miss her. I thank God that I had an opportunity to touch her life. And give her tears of joy through my music. It will never be the same without Dora but that's ok because she is better off now and the angels are singing to her now. Goodnight Dora see you in the morning.
