Obituary of Leopold J. Meier

Leopold J. Meier, 88, of Cazenovia passed away Friday, December 26, 2008 at University Hospital. He was born in Munich, Germany and moved to Baldwinsville in 1934. He was a 1938 graduate of Baldwinsville High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree of Science at Hamilton College in 1942. He was an army veteran of WWII and retired in 1985 as a chemist for Church & Dwight Company, Syracuse. He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Phyllis C. Long Meier in 1960 and his second wife Laura Park Meier. Survivors: two sons, Carl S. of Duxbury, MA and John J. of Ballston Spa, NY; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services: 9:00am Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery, Baldwinsville.
